Yomu is an independent reader for book lovers. Yomu’s design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability and distraction-free reading.

Designed to let you focus on reading, Yomu has no unnecessary preferences. Just open a book and start reading. Yomu’s fluid layout dynamically adjusts all text properties and margins depending on your preferred styles and device, giving you an optimal reading experience.

FORMATS
Yomu supports standard ebooks without digital rights management.

Supported formats:

- Mobi (.mobi, .prc)
- Kindle (.azw, .azw3, .kf8)
- Comics (.cbz, .cbr)
- PDF (.pdf)

Choose any of over thousand freely available ebooks from publishers like Feedbooks, Manybooks or Project Gutenberg. Download ebooks directly from your browser, copy files from other apps or add them with AirDrop. Import files with iCloud Drive, iTunes File Sharing, or from Dropbox, Google Drive, OPDS and Calibre.

READER
The readers design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability.

Choose your favorite theme, reader mode (day, sepia, night, black), select a preset or custom font size, content layout (page, scroll) and many more options. All settings can be saved as your personal default for each book.

Swipe or tap to go to the next page. You can also use the books content outline or table of contents to navigate to another chapter.

While reading EPub, Mobi and Kindle books, select text to take notes or highlight favorite sections. Create bookmarks or search inside ebooks to quickly find anything you are looking for.

LIBRARY
Organise your books in an easy to use library.

Manage your library by creating folders or tags to organize your books. Sort your collection either by title, author or drag and drop for a custom order.

You can edit a documents title, author, summary, cover or any other meta data. Save or export your books with all information and annotations in text, markdown or json format.

CLOUD
Yomus Cloud Library (pro only) stores your books and annotations securely in Apples iCloud.

Keep all your ebooks safe and at hand on whatever device. Every time you change something on one device, its synced to all your other devices. Always have the latest version, when you start reading on your iPad and continue on your iPhone on the go.

Please note that you need to be signed in on your device with the same Apple ID on both platforms.

WIDGETS
See your recently read books or highlighted quotes.

Yomu includes widgets to quickly view and open your books and quotes. Add a widget from the gallery and choose a list from the options. Tap on an entry to continue reading where you left off.

YOMU PRO
Yomu is free to use and includes all basic features.

Every ebook format, theme or setting is available and lets you try out the unrestricted reader. However, the free version has some limitations and does not include certain features.

Upgrade to Yomu Pro to get:
- Cloud Library: Store and sync your library with Apple’s iCloud.
- Unlimited Documents: No limit on the number of documents.
- No Advertisement: Free version can display ads.

Pros and cons of Yomu EBook Reader app for iPhone and iPad

Yomu EBook Reader app good for

Easy to use and good looking eBook reader. Some suggestions for improvements: - You cant set a default view settings (font type, size etc) for all your books, instead you have to set it for every single book - When you tap on a link to a footnote, you cant easily go back but have to scroll manually back the position you were reading - The built in text look up feature of iOS doesnt work - The feedback button in the app doesnt work - The way to enlarge pictures is strange

What more could you want? You shouldnt have to tinker with settings or navigate a multi layered interface to read a book. Yomu gets it. Worse is better and less is more.

Some bad moments

some things are simply not working… pros: nice design, dropbox sync cons: not working content-list/TOC, slow on iPhone

This may have the potential to be the best ereader Ive used other than nook. Its has a nice clean design and I love the fact that you can import books from both iTunes and Dropbox. Its not as buggy as other ebook readers Ive used and it come with an option to import three free books. I would like to know what file types other that ePub will this support.

I love the look of this app. The best Reader that I have used. I would love to see PDF support.

Awesome, beautiful, just wish I could share to social networks and not just by email.

Finally theres an e-reader app thats focused on reading! Yomu is elegant, minimal and easy to use. Being able to directly link with Dropbox is great, since all of my books are stored there. Sharing a book is easy through email too. Theres no ridiculous bookshelf or page flipping animation either. The reading experience is different now that tablets exist and this is how e-readers should look. Overall great app, I hope it gets some more attention soon.

I never thought I would like such a simple e-reader so much. I love the integration with Dropbox. The layout is great, and very readable. All images in some books dont show up, but it doesnt seem to affect the layout. While Im on board with the simple and streamlined settings (it really does make it easier to just pick a book and read), a 3rd or 4th font wouldnt hurt. Not at the expense of the elegant and readable layout tho. Ive been a huge stanza fan for years, even after they abandoned the app. With my iphone 5 tho, it doesnt fit the whole screen, so Ive been looking for a replacement. This is it. Super easy, looks great. I read ebooks everyday, and for another font or two (and dare I ask for cover flow), this is easily 5 stars. Considering buying the full version.
